While any criticism of teh syrian regime that calls from Jordan its most peaceful nieghbour with the least record of extremism is good, before the former PM can be considered for office or serve in any other than an interim capacity, there needs to be an explanation for the alleged murder of children this spring. IN a civil war both sides need truth and reconciliation and where needed a trial at the International Criminal Court.




Assads refgime may only apparently control 30% of teh territory now but his father managed to hold on with that and from a previous revolt establish his Bathist dynasty, if the west isn't careful, we may just replace one such dynasty for another.   This is a job for David Milliband at the UN
